More Evidence Obama Won’t Discourage Charity

His report today generally confirms the analysis of the Center for Budget and Policy Priorities reported here yesterday.
“Given the size of the change we’re talking about,” Williams College economist Jon Bakija told Donmoyer, ” it’s a modest effect.”

This does not take into consideration the intangibles. I do not itemize my deduction, so the deductibility of my donations is not an issue. I will be giving less to charity because the out of control spending by the federal government makes me nervous for continued destruction of the economy, future tax hikes, and the solvency of social security. I will decrease charitable giving and increase my cash holdings. However, I will still be giving more as a percentage of my income than the Obamas did before President Obama became a US Senator.
