House GOP Endorses ‘Tea Parties’

The semi-grassroots, semi-astroturf “tea parties” against the stimulus get a thumbs-up from House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio).

In gatherings large and small and at kitchen tables across the nation, Americans who have played by the rules are growing increasingly angry about government rewarding irresponsible behavior and spending their money on bigger and bigger programs that our nation simply cannot afford.

It might be better to stick to the kitchen tables — you can actually measure the size of the tea parties, and they were quite small.

May the people revolt and oppose taxes….. Federal, State and why the hell do we pay personal property taxes on homes owned? No more taxes.

Tea Parties can be held in “coffee houses” around town. Put a silver tea service our or a simple big stand up card with a logo of a tea pot on it, and see who comes over to shake your hand. Those who know will know what it is all about. A great way to spread “grass roots” support, and to realize how many are supportive of the GOP resistence.

No preparation, no fee, no clean up, no cost to you other than your coffee which all buy on their own. People can come and go as they please. I think you will be surprised at how many friends you have. Next time maybe spread the word on FaceBook (or other nets) that you will gather at another (bigger?) location. Many young generations and first time voters will be aware of your Tea Parties as the info is spread on the net.
