The only thing I can see that has a chance for justice is if Obama appoints a special prosecutor – and then ignores it (which is what he then should do, since a special prosecutor is supposed to act independently). That way he doesn't spend any more time on it than appointing someone. And I do agree his portfolio should include Congress – both sides of the aisle – since they are constitutionally required to be an independent check on the President, and the evidence is they were not.

These “protests” were nothing more than CYA on the part of the (dis)honorable congresswomen. They were fully on board the torture express and that's why they don't want any investigations. Because the truth of their complicity would come out and they would be seen as the hypocrites they are.
