Facing a leftist American administration is nothing in comparison, for instance, to facing the Soviet Empire.
It’s hard to argue with this.

The comment is stupid on its face. You are comparing a generic “Leftist American administration” to an aggressor nation that suppressed even its own people by spying on them and by secret police searches, etc. It tried and did intimidate others in the world with nuclear weapons and preemptive war.
Geez, what I have described here suddenly sounds like the Bush Administration…
