When people show you who they are, you should believe them and act accordingly. The Republican party clearly demonstrated their views tolerance, inclusiveness and "team America" (what was it Palin said about where real America is located?) throughout the primary and presidential campaign. To attempt to switch horses now, in order to stop the republican train from speeding toward a cliff, is thinly veiled hypocrisy. Do you really think we buy it?

I followed the link from ThinkProgress, and I'm having trouble spotting the OUTRAGE! Could Weigel do his best (which is never good enough) to explain it to us?

As for being "more tolerant of immigration", Americans are more tolerant than almost everyone else, considering that we admit around a million people per year. What Weigel means is "more tolerant of illegal activity and giving power inside the U.S. to corrupt foreign governments and far-left racial power groups".

P.S. Here's more on Dave Weigel.
