“Clinton did not go after Sen. John McCain for repeatedly using her in his recent campaign ads"

which shows that she is completely on board with the Obama campaign strategy of answering the disgusting slime-ball McCain ads LOCALLY rather than nationally – and using the national stage for a 50:50 blend of positive and negative ads that don’t give more attention to McCain’s bogus smear ads. This is a very good strategy.

The proof that this is working is evident in the fact that McCain is placing ever-increasing and less convincing slimy ads as time goes by. When you try to campaign using only the smear ads, you always have to top the last one. This is effective if the election is a couple of weeks away, but months away? No way. McCain’s smear campaign will die of it’s own weight soon, as his funds wither away.

McCain’s reputation as a “straight talker” if he has one is disappearing fast. Meanwhile very shortly, the McCain will be forced to operate under a funds limit. That is why you are seeing an avalanche of negative ads right now. He is throwing everything but the kitchen sink at Obama and it doesn’t seem to be doing much at all except damaging his own reputation.

Now, the Obama campaign can leisurely place their spots locally and nationally and McCain will simply not have the local apparatus in place to fight them. You can’t just throw money at an election and expect to win.
