A quick follow-up to yesterday’s post: When Rep. Eric Cantor (R-Va.) told The Washington Post that he was studying Winston Churchill’s political insurgency, he was referring to Churchill’s anti-appeasement days in the 1930s. A spokesman for the congressman confirmed that he’s reading Troublesome Young Men: The Rebels Who Brought Churchill to Power and Saved England, and that’s the vision of Churchill that’s inspired him.
