It isn’t the $15,000 tax credit that passed the Senate, but first-time homebuyers probably won’t complain about the $8,000 credit that wiggled it’s way into Congress’ final stimulus package.
The benefit applies only to homes purchased between Jan. 1 and Dec. 1 of this year, and only for families earning less than $150,000 ($75,000 for individuals). Also, the credit will have to be paid back if the home is resold within three years.
Both the House and Senate are expected to pass the $789 billion stimulus bill tomorrow.

And the original $7500 deal gets the shaft……gotta love these pricks! They get a pension for their lives people!

Note that the package says: 8.000,- OR 10 % of the homes value wichever is less. not sure if some houses has a value above 80.000,-. And don't forget: its just for the 2008 and 2009 taxes.

Yea it sounds good BUT you have to have at least 960 credit score and 10 to 20,000 down so it really does not help one dam bit!
