At the House Republicans’ recent weekend retreat, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney told them to come up with a health care plan before the Democrats.

- Rep. Tim Murphy (R-PA)

Congressional Quarterly first noted that the members of the task force have collected nearly $3 million from health care PACs. I noticed that four members–Gingrey, Burgess, Murphy and Shadegg–were on a 2006 health care task force that didn’t do much beyond issuing statements in favor of health savings accounts.
