RNC Chair Delusionally Confident Coleman Will Win

Most observers agree that Al Franken’s (DFL-Minn.) election to the U.S. Senate is not a matter of if, but when. Not so for newly minted Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele, though. Here’s a statement he released this morning:

“I proudly stand in support of Senator Norm Coleman’s pursuit to see that Minnesota’s voters are enfranchised by having their ballots counted. If voters do not have confidence in elections, then they will not have confidence in their elected leaders. That is why the judges’ review of thousands of additional ballots in Minnesota is critical to the democratic process. The Republican National Committee remains committed to Norm Coleman’s campaign and confident that when the recount contest is complete, he will be re-elected to the U.S. Senate.”

Meanwhile, Franken’s lawyers are arguing before the Minnesota Supreme Court today that Franken should be issued a temporary election certificate so that Minnesota can have its full representation in the Senate while Coleman’s election contest is resolved (it could take a while). Just think we have to listen to Michael Steele as RNC Chair for the next few years….not sure how long a person serves as chair of either party, but his induction as the RNC Chair is a superb example of how out of touch the Republican Party is with this country.

Does the RNC really believe that we only voted for President Obama because he was black? The landslide had nothing to do with the color of his skin, but the RNC apparently believes it does. So, they have chosen a man who is a racist and is an arrogant person…so full of himself he actually believes he was picked to chair the RNC because of his intelligence. The RNC knows that their party will be roaming in the desert for quite some time so Steele can be their sacrificial lamb.

Think about it, the RNC has chosen Steele and Sarah Palin as the “new face of the RNC”….what a joke.

Norm Coleman needs to step aside, take his own advice and stop wasting the taxpayers money. Al Franken is the senator and Minnesota is known for their clean elections….Totally disgusted

Puffery perhaps…Let's give Mr. Steele a chance to lay out a new direction for the party before we condemn him completely.
