Live from the RNC: Steele and Blackwell Talking
Friday, January 30, 2009 at 2:04 pm
Michael Steele and Ken Blackwell just conferred in the hallway outside the main room, with Steele doing most of the talking. Steele tried to brush aside the ideological disagreements they’d had (“from day one”) and stress how both of them (“and J.C.,” referring to J.C. Watts, the former Oklahoma congressman) had worked to change the GOP’s image.
Conferring down the hall: Saul Anuzis and a Duncan supporter from Massachusetts, clearly talking about an alliance to stop Dawson, though it was unclear whether they were talking about uniting behind Anuzis, Duncan, or Steele.
