This particular columnist also showed how truly ignorant he is, unfortunately, by practicing medicine without a license when he "diagnosed" some persons picking up their checks at the post office as being perfectly well because they weren't "cripples". Their legs worked. Poor guy doesn't know what else might not have been working that kept these recipients from working. And obviously, he knows nothing about Social Security Disability Income and how it is that people receive it. I receive it, and my legs work, too. <br><br>In order to receive it, one HAS to have a doctor's statement that one cannot work AT ANY JOB for at least 12 months/one year. I had depression so severe that I had attempted suicide. I had been put on the wrong medicine for me. Lots of side effects. Am on a better medicine now. Trying to get going with work that I can do at home on my computer because after a wreck and two falls, I have severe back problems. But I hope to get my little home business going and get off Social Security. Wish me luck. Please.
