The complete witness list for Eric Holder’s confirmation hearings this Thursday was just released tonight.

Here it is, after the jump:

Congresswoman from the District of Columbia

Panel I:

Eric H. Holder Jr. to be Attorney General of the United States

Panel II:

The Honorable Louis J. Freeh
Former Director
Federal Bureau of Investigation

Chuck Canterbury
National President
National Fraternal Order of Police

John Payton

Joseph F. Connor
Glen Rock, NJ

Richard S. Hahn

Townsend, Connor, Hahn and Halbrook are all witnesses for the minority. Just two years ago, Townsend, a longtime Dept. of Justice fixture and the former Homeland Security advisor under President Bush, was bandied around as a possible replacement for former Attorney General Alberto Gonzales who had just left the agency.

This is Arlen Spector's last hurrah. By 2010 either a right wng republican will beat him in a primary race or a Democrat will knock him off. After 8 years of breaking down of what was an excellent Justice Department, Arlen and his cronies have some nerve challenging Eric Holder. Some people still remember that Arlen Spector was the lawyer of a murder er who escaped justice for almost twenty years. No one and I mean no one person can withstand this kind of scrutiny without finding some flaws. That includes Arlen Spector as well as Eric Holder.
