		<description>Although this is not really germaine to this article, Bryan&#039;s reputation concerning the Scopes Trial was not improved by the play and movie &quot;Inherit the Wind,&quot; but he had concerns about evolution that resonate even with today&#039;s scientists.  I understand he had serious concerns about the textbook that Scopes used because it reflected (endorsed, in fact) the commonly held belief that eugenics was the logical next step from understanding  (&quot;believing in&quot;) evolution.  The issue wasn&#039;t as clear-cut as it is often presented.  Someone please correct me if I am mistaken.</description>
