So you pick ONE - Rhode Island - that says its projects aren't "shovel ready" and you ASSUME that this holds true for the rest of the country. My work is infrastructure. This is all I've done for more than a decade. I cover the Western United States and I can tell you that there are at least $20-$30 billion worth of road, bridge, levee, water, and energy projects that could be underway within 60-100 days of money being released. You think we're all just sitting on our hands since this idea was floated? We have been making plans, working together - cities, counties, states - knowing that those who have projects that can get up to speed first will likely get the dollars. We are ready and we are kind of getting sick of people who don't do this for a living making lame assumptions based on nothing. There are 50 states in this union, last time I looked. So you pick ONE – Rhode Island – that says its projects aren't “shovel ready” and you ASSUME that this holds true for the rest of the country. My work is infrastructure.
