I hope that he has at least learned the standard no nonsense line on Geneva, the 8th <br>amendment to the US constituton prohibiting cruel and unusual punishment, and the Torture Convention, any reasonably reading of which makes "abusive" techniques of interrogation torture and prohibitied, and certainly makes waterboarding prohibited. If Brennan supports the closing of Gitmo and the other secret prisons, then we may let this one pass. Brennan better not get in our way when it comes to revoking torture and restoring habeas corpus and investigating the Bush administration for violations of the law.
