David is an outstanding writer. He's especially good at covering political activism, campaigns, elections, and uncovering government mishaps.

However, he is anything but “Republican-friendly.” Weigel voted for Obama. He has continually blasted libertarian efforts within the GOP. He's been especially critical of the darling of libertarian Republicans, Sarah Palin.

Please do not try to present him as offering balance for your otherwise fine on-line publication. David has admitted repeatedly that his allegiances lie mainly on the left, and with the Democrat Party.
