<p>Latinos have been strong supporters of Hillary Clinton and her campaign is counting on their support again in the crucial Texas primary March 4.<br />

On a conference call with reporters Tuesday afternoon, Mark Penn, Clinton’s top strategist, cited the &quot;substantial Latino turnout&quot; the campaign is expecting. &quot;We think we have excellent prospects in Texas,&quot; Penn said. But check out <a id="f5jk" href="http://nationaljournal.com/polltrack/" title="the latest numbers">the latest numbers</a> from this Gallup/USA Today poll, which show Clinton’s nationwide numbers among Latinos falling. As National Journal describes it:</p>

<blockquote>Latino voters favored Obama, 50 percent to 46 percent, from Feb. 13-17, a stark turnaround since the beginning of the month, when Latinos favored Clinton by 31 points.<br />

<p>Like I wrote yesterday, there is still plenty of time for this to <a id="d4-g" href="../../../view/democratic" title="bounce around some more">bounce around some more</a> before the votes are really counted.</p>
