Hello… I am just a working class woman who worked sometimes two jobs to pay my mortgage and raise my two children by myself.
Now my chiidren are grown and I have been renting out my house. In the last month or so I was conned into renting my house to an employee of HUD who also recieves a voucher. I have been nothing but abused by this agency and this employee and can’t seem to get help from any of them… they have outright lied to me to protect the employee. This is sinful and I am outraged that a gov’t agency can get away with this. It is the SPHA in St. Petersburg Florida… without the whole drawn out story… I have to go through a whole eviction process scared to death these people will keep lying and covering up for this employee. They wouldn’t even admit he worked there at first.
If anyone knows how I can get help please contact me suzmcd2003@aol.com I really need help as to what the laws are regarding an employee of HUD and also recieving a HUD voucher.
I would also like to know how it is that most of us work our arses off our whole lives without recieving any kind of assistance and alot of these recipients of vouchers, food stamps, welfare, etc. are driving around in BMW’s, Mercedes etc!
The agencies seem corrupt, the economy is going south and the rest of us have to pay for it!
Who is supposed to account for this problem? Where can I get real help?

As a taxpayer from 16 years old I worked at a job for over 30 years when faced with a change in heath i know was forced to give up working collecting social security disability Met Life LTD failed me and only paid for 24 month disability after paying for it 30 years leaving me to loose every thing I worked for know faced with no savings collecting a pension early which is dratically cut and social security just not enough to live on in the rising economic crisis i apply for section 8 housing and put on a waiting list young able body people recieving rental vouchers but i wait until Iam hmeless or die from not taking my medicine people of my time have pride

I can see Bush's eyes glazing over as the conversation turned to housing the poor and elderly. While being informed of the crisis in New Orleans his thoughts would turn to playing war. He could visualize himself going house to house with his machine gun wiping out A-rabs.

I think a good place to start cleaning house is with those Bush Appointments still in there. There are some chilling comments by in house employees posted this week. Our personal experience is one in which we believe that the “bullying” that you can read about in the past with Philadelphia FHA is alive and well in other forms. Though it seems to be at least one of the the same perpetrators. I would encourage those within HUD to openly express their opinions without fear about what is happening there.
