Illinois probably beats any state easy in corruption. Illinois ex-Governor Ryan went away on corruption not long ago. Senator Durbin has asked Bush to commute his sentence. That Illinois has such a long history of deep corruption is the reason Ryan should not have his sentence commuted. Nor was Ryan the first. Illinois beats Alaska easily in corruption.
