<p>So <a id="cjnf" href="http://earth2tech.com/2008/03/05/elon-musk-braemar-back-ocean-seeding-startup-climos/" title="this">this</a> is interesting. A startup called <a id="oxwi" href="http://climos.com/" title="Climos">Climos</a> named its investors this week. The company plans to employ ocean-seeding: Dumping iron in the ocean in order to weigh down the CO2-eating plankton that live there. This apparently sequesters carbon. Then, Climos will make money off the underwater transaction by selling carbon offset credits to other companies. Climos says it’s the first venture capital funded project of its kind.</p>
