You're kidding, right? The US government was friends with the Taliban? In what dreamworld did you find that nugget of idiocy?

Get this, clueless. Al Qaeda was harbored by the Taliban when they were the "government" running Afghanistan. Anybody with a modicum of sense and an understanding of logic and reason gets that the Taliban, and by extension these Uigher Muslim terrorists, were allied with Al Qaeda. That is all the evidence needed. That makes the Uighers guilty of war crimes, conspiracy to commit acts of terrorism, and conspiracy to commit murder. They should either be on death row or spending the rest of their days in Gitmo without the possibility of parole. The idea they are anything more than guilty terrorists is nothing more than the kind of legal game idiot liberals play.

These Uighurs received training in Agfhanistan with the TALIBAN at a time (2000) when the US govt was still friends of the Taliban (and offered them $ 21 Mil for aid). There was no proof they were allied to Al-queda per se.
