Spitzer the Superdelegate

So, the Clinton campaign says it has no comment about New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer’s woes. Spitzer is a superdelegate who has already endorsed Clinton.

As I understand it, if Spitzer resigns in the next few months, he would lose that status. There would be one fewer superdelegate at the Democratic convention, and one fewer delegate in the Clinton column.

For those keeping score at home, Lt. Gov. David Paterson is already a superdelegate — and he, too, has endorsed Clinton.

Spitzer, what a bitter disappointment. Maybe the Gov should have used the old "what the definition of is is, ploy." Yeah, that might have worked. Can we say ‘ritual sepuku’ on the National Mall for any and ALL politicians? I knew we could. Eliot coulda been a contender!
