Obama, Palin To Appear at Governors’ Economic Meeting
Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at 3:23 pm
During his press conference today, President-elect Barack Obama took a question from a local Chicago television reporter about the role of state and local governments in his plan for economic recovery. Here’s part of his response:
We’re going to be working very closely with governors. We’re going to be working very closely with mayors of towns small and large, across the country. This economic recovery plan will require their input, their participation and part of our job is to make sure that we are listening to what’s happening on the ground, where the rubber hits the road, and not simply desigining something out of Washington.
Apparently, Obama is not going to waste any time in bringing the states into the discussion on how to proceed. The Wall Street Journal reports that Obama is scheduled to meet with governors of both parties to discuss the economy at a meeting of the National Governor’s Association next week in Philadelphia.
“The only agenda is two pieces: one, to get to know him, and two, discuss solutions to the economy,” said Nick Ayers, executive director of the Republican Governors Association. Mr. Ayers said the Republican governors are “looking forward to the opportunity (to) meet him and hear about his plans,” but that he expects the governors to show up with plenty of ideas of their own.
According to The Journal, the meeting was hastily arranged and announced Monday, so it is unclear who exactly will be in attendance. But a spokesperson for Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin confirmed that the former GOP vice presidential nominee is scheduled to be there. AWKWARD!

Palin is one of the most effective govenors this country has; and Obama is one of the most inexperienced politicians to reach the national level.
In 10 years of community organizing, and working as a state senator, he has never helped anyone but himself.
He's lucky to get her help.
Oh, and should we look into his work on Bill Ayers CAC board? $50 Million in grant money burned up over 5 years, and, as the education department reported, nothing accomplished.

She should be there…..she is a governor.
Obviously, many “bashers” have not followed past elections before. Strictly politics.

Bwahhhaaaahahahahahahha! Snork! Bwahhaha! She's my governor and I don't feel like lying about her bozo hillbilly ways and Kristian Kommando Kookery! She abused her powers as governor and now thanks to her incitement the poor trooper had to be moved to a “secret location” just in case the Palins get hammered and go on the warpath. She should be impeached but Alaska is too full of inbreds to get that kind of high level affair together.
Just because you hate Obama doesn't make him bad, and just because you like Palin doesn't make her competent, ethical, or effective. Or help your spelling. Maybe Bill Ayers can help you there.

It's surrealistic for anyone to believe in Sarah Palin after all we've seen and heard the last couple of months. She is an embarrassment. We can be certain that, like the Republican governors, Obama will be polite to Palin in public, but nobody in their right mind will ever take her seriously as a leader. The Governors did not elect her to a position of power; that should certainly be an indication of their true feelings towards her.
