The leaders of several big progressive groups are about to announce a $350 million-plus plan to shape the national political debate.

Calling it "the largest and most expensive mobilization in history," leaders of the progressive push will unveil their plans Tuesday in Washington at the big Take Back America conference.

Those slated to be on hand include: Robert Borosage of Campaign for America’s Future, Karen Ackerman of the AFL-CIO, Page Gardner of Women Voices. Women Vote, Cecilia Munoz of National Council of La Raza, and representatives of MoveOn, Rock the Vote and ACORN.

If Barack Obama is the Democratic nominee, he might be put on the spot about this group’s activities versus his own policies against outside groups spending on his behalf.
