Ayman al-Zawahiri: Not Just a Terrorist, Also a Racist

You didn’t really think that Al Qaeda’s deputy leader, Ayman al-Zawahiri, could become any more of an asshole, but it turns out that the intellectual architect of a reactionary band of religious fanatics doesn’t exactly have enlightened views on race relations. Check out what he says in his latest tape about Barack Obama. AP via TPM:

Al-Zawahri says in an audio message, which appeared on militant Web sites Wednesday, that Obama is “the direct opposite of honorable black Americans” like Malcolm X. He calls Obama a “house negro.”

Who would have known that electing a black president also turns out to have an information-operations component as a bonus? We should want to publicize, far and wide, that Zawahiri is a racist. Drive this discrediting message into the heart of the Muslim world. I wonder what the tens of millions of African and African-American Muslims think about Zawahiri’s charming statement.

Beautiful. It's not enough that al-Zawahiri is a murdurous Islamic terrorist , hellbent on KILLING all humans, and other living things, who don't genuflect to his concept of Allah. But to find out he's a RACIST? OMG!!!

This article illustrates why liberals are perfectly fine with Barry Obama maintaining a cozy relationship with two former domestic terrorists. Ayers and Dohrn may have bombed the Capitol Building, the Pentagon, the home of a NY judge, and two police headquarters – but, “at lease they aren't RACISTS!!”

al-Zawahiri discredits his complaint of US corruption and greed with a tired racial slur that doesn't apply (now “Uncle Tom” might've worked …). Regardless, that the term came from the USA doesn't make it less derogatory. And since the list of “house negros” doesn't include white folk, it's not allegorical. It's racist. Sorry, munich, you don't get to tag the Jews for this one.

Conservatives already knew vermin like Zawahiri was a racist. Where the hell have the liberals been?

Get a clue, Ackerman.

“House negro” as seen from Beirut.

I am not sure how the insult “house negro” is racist, given that it is a term used by people of color to describe Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice or former Secretary of State Powell in the past. Furthermore, al-Zawahiri described Malcolm X as an “honorable black American” in the preceding line; not exactly a quotation from a racist diatribe.

If your (hopefully feigned) outrage means you think al Qaeda does not share your high hopes for the beloved President-elect Obama, you might be right… You did not support W's “War on Terror,” but I am certain that you will support Obama's “War on Racism.” I rate your comment as “double-plus good.”

I liked the picture of Obama at the wailing wall. A long way from his Muslim village relatives. But who needs them in Washington right.
