Many are hesitant to question McCain's motives for anything he does or doesn't do. He seems to be such a nice guy, doesn't he? I urge only that voters remember an ancient admonition that things (and people) are seldom "what they seem to be."<br><br><br><br>That may very well include the "nice old guy with integrity" image that McCain has carefully cultured and grown over the past years. I've not done it myself, but I suspect that a really good dig into his entire record in the legislature might show a lot more than the "image" he's built for himself as "the maverick" to the extreme right wing of the Republican Party.
