Rep. Henry Waxman (D-Calif.) announced this afternoon that on April 17 the House oversight committee will hold a hearing on the Army’s $300 million contract to AEY Inc., reported today in the New York Times.
The hearing will explore all the horrible stuff the New York Times documented this morning, including selling broken Cold War ammo to the Afghanistan government. Waxman has cordially invited 22 year-old AEY president, and Andy Samburg dead-ringer, Efraim E. Diveroli to testify.
There is no word yet from Sen. Joesph I. Lieberman’s Senate oversight committee whether they will also hold a hearing or investigate the matter.
