Putting it Crudely

Doug Feith — he of the Office of Special Plans — has this to say about those concerned about torturing dudes. Via Paul Kiel, when Feith was asked by a Vanity Fair reporter if he was concerned that denying Geneva Conventions protections to suspected terrorists in U.S. custody would harm America’s moral authority, he sagely replied:
“The problem with moral authority,” he said, was “people who should know better, like yourself, siding with the assholes, to put it crudely.”

If the Pelosi didn’t have reason to impeach, she sure as hell has reasons to impeach now! Read the article in Vanity Fair. ‘The Green Light’ by Phillippe Sands. Oh holy bull-pucky, it’s game on! WAR CRIMES TRIBUNAL! Well and impeachment. Which ever can come first.

I’m not sure if that is a condemnation of all "journalists" for going along with all the illegal acitons, a bit of self realization on Feith’s part, or some combination. All too rare admissions like this would have helped; if they had been repeated in the press, even more so…
