Petraeus: ‘We Don’t Arm’ The Sunnis

Would it be so bad to admit that we arm Sunni militiamen? I mean, perhaps Petraeus — as he told Sen. Chris Dodd (D-Conn.) — is right that they have more than enough guns and we don’t hand any to them. But we pay them. And they buy guns with our money. So how much of a difference is there, really? (And in some cases, we do give them guns.)
