Burton: If We Withdraw, Won’t The Planet Explode and The Baby Jesus Cry?

<p>Dan Burton, the red-faced GOP gentleman from Indiana, succeeded at getting Crocker and Petraeus to essentially endorse John McCain. The war is &quot;extremely unpopular,&quot; he said. Before the American people &quot;pick a new president,&quot; he said, &quot;they want to know the facts.&quot; So what would a withdrawal within six months lead to?</p>

<p>Crocker wouldn’t answer Berman’s question about how to mitigate the consequences of withdrawal. But surprise surprise! He cleared his throat by saying he’s a career professional, serves Democrats and Republicans, etc. But it’ll lead to&nbsp; &quot;expanded sectarian conflict, at levels we have not seen before,&quot; and &quot;Al Qaeda [could] root itself in Arab soil.&quot; Petraeus said, &quot;The Ambassador has captured my sentiment on that as well.&quot;</p>
