"I can only serve one boss at a time," he said. While this time he waded a toe into the waters of saying that he’d "expect" to receive "contingency planning" from the Pentagon and Central Command chief, Petraeus added, "I’m very uncomfortably, candidly, with where the conversation is going, as a military man who believes in civilian control."</p>
