Tancredo: Isn’t Our Real Enemy In Iraq The Latino?

I know I’m delirious now, because Rep. Tom Tancredo just asked if there are MS-13 gangs within the military, who are using their Iraq training when they come home to pursue their “illegal activity.” This cannot be happening.

“I’m not aware of a problem with gangs, and that’s something I’ll have to check on,” Petraeus said, before swiftly moving on.

Spencer Ackerman: yeah, why weren’t you previously aware? McCaul’s all over this thing, he’s known about from the beginning. But he’s not telling all he knows!!
Placing advanced and powerful weapons in the hands of large groups of MC-13 members and incorporating them in the U.S. military was a pilot program {developed by Rumsfeld probably} that was applied in Iraq in the SONS OF IRAQ Program.

Spencer Ackerman: why weren’t you previously aware of this issue? Can you figure out the ways your headline is wrong and childish?

What reflex was involved in posting this? No, really: what was your thought process? And, was it anything beyond "Tancredo bad man"?

Do you think posts like this help or harm your reputation?

Those who want to learn about some of the many other things Ackerman isn’t aware of might start at the following report. It doesn’t deal with Iraq, just the things here at home people like Ackerman aren’t aware of or wouldn’t like to discuss:
