McCaul: You Just Gotta Want Victory Bad Enough!

Michael McCaul, a GOP member from Texas, said that, of course, “we all want our troops to come home.” But Michael McCaul is a winner. “The American people like to win,” he said. “I know I like to win.” It’s amazing: victory is simply a matter of wanting it. You just gotta clap your hands, kids! If we’re not winning, that means you’re not clapping hard enough.

Also, it’s time to go to war with Iran. McCaul said that Iran’s influence in Iraq — you know, the country next door with deep cultural ties — is “as deep as Al Qaeda’s” and “that, in itself, is an act of war.” Kids, you’re going to have to clap really, really hard if McCaul gets his way.

I hope that the McCaul quotes in the second paragraph are conveying an inaccurate view of his logical reasoning. If not, please elaborate on what you mean by "GOP member".
