Petraeus Offers Iran The Olive Branch

It’s like a bad movie! As soon as antiwar protesters are kicked out of the hearing for denouncing Petraeus’s bellicose rhetoric on Iran, he shifts to a message of potential cooperation or even detente. The U.S. must work to see if  “more constructive relations [are] possible” with Iran. And there’s a need to encourage Iran to “contribute to regional stability.” Important partners will be the Gulf states.
