On the Topic of GI Bill Momentum…

…Sen. Daniel Akaka (D-Hawaii), chairman of the Veterans’ Affairs Committee, signed on today in support of the congressional proposal to expand the education benefits for veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan. That brings the total number of Senate endorsements to 54.

Still no word from McCain…

You would think that with the ridiculous cost of the occupation (that we are not acknowledging or paying for), the $2.5 billion cost (for the first year), this would be a no-brainer. I guess Lockheed, Raytheon, Grumman, and Blackwater, et al, need support more than the troops do.
