As Iowa Democrats prepare to meet this weekend to select delegates to the the Denver convention, Iowa Independent reports that Hillary Clinton’s campaign is wooing supporters of John Edwards with color postcards praising his health care plan and his "values," which might be taken as a slap at Barack Obama’s "elitism." Obama’s campaign has staff in the state working on Edwards backers, says reporter Lynda Waddington. If Edwards supporters can’t muster 15 percent of the vote at the district conventions on Saturday, they can’t go to Denver as pledged Edwards delegates and will have to change their allegiance. Iowa will pick 29 of its 56 delegates to the convention this weekend. At this point, every one counts.
