STATE OF PLAY: The Bell Verdict

Emotions ran high in a New York state courtroom packed with supporters of the Sean Bell family this morning. Judge Arthur Cooperman delivered a not-guilty verdict in the case of slain groomsman Sean Bell who was shot 50 times by undercover police officers on his wedding day. As the words acquitted of all charges rang across the courtroom, so did cries of disbelief and disappointment. News headlines across the board are reporting on this controversial issue.

What a country.
A cops can shoot a black man to death, firing over 50 rounds, and reloading, and they never get acquitted.
