Goodbye, Lurita Doan
Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at 8:27 am
Yesterday GSA administrator Lurita Doan announced that she’s been asked to leave the government’s supply closet agency. It was no shock to us, since good government reporter Matthew Blake asked back in March how she’s still around. According to Blake, Doan’s violated an anti-politicization law called the Hatch Act, been charged with investigated for considering a friend for a no bid contract and accused of intimidating her employees. Goodbye, Doan.
Update: Thanks to reader CD for pointing out that Doan attempted to give a no-bid contract to a friend, but that the contract was not actually awarded. Doan even told The Washington Post it was a mistake.
