Obama Revisits Joe the Plumber on the Stump

LONDONDERRY, N.H. — Joe the Plumber’s 15 minutes are not over.
Speaking to a crowd of 4,100 here, Sen. Barack Obama mocked his rival’s emphasis on Joe the Plumber in the final presidential debate.
“How many plumbers do you know making over a quarter of a million dollars?” he asked the crowd, arguing that average Joes would fare much better under Obama’s tax cut plan.
To hammer home how his middle-class tax cuts would help most Americans — in contrast to Sen. John McCain’s emphasis on corporate and capital-gains taxes — Obama also asked for a show of hands for who makes less than $250,000. Most of the hands in the crowd shot up.
The rally at an apple farm in this small swing state is Obama’s only public event today. He also has two fundraisers on his schedule, including a rock concert with Bruce Springstein and an appearance at the private “Al Smith” dinner at the Waldorf Astoria in Manhattan.

Obama just uses talking points and doesn't listen!
“Joe the plumber” wants to move from being a “plumber” to a “small business owner” where profits from his company along with his salery will but him abover the $250,000 income range. He's more than just a plumber!
As an owner of a small company you generaly show your profits as personal income to avoid the much higher corporation tax.
If you as the investor in a company pay yourself $100,000 and your company makes $150,000 in profits…guess what, your rich and are taxed higher.
That means less to re-invest in the company, less to give to employee's!!

Funny! Joe The Plumber is not a licensed plumber.

Kwaayesnama, apparently you that a plumber's license is only required in Toledo, Ohio, not state-wide as in many states. No law broken by Joe in Ohio, only by ACORN in Ohio, and that ACORN was hired by a company that Obama hired, and paid $80k directly to. Or don't you consider voter fraud to be illegal?
