In a desperate attempt to spin this mess, Palin is now claiming that the Troopergate investigation clears her of any wrongdoing, which it does not. We can't afford eight more years of another administration that abuses their power. Sign this petition urging Palin to stop the lies and walk the ethics reform talk by removing herself from the presidential ticket now: http://go.care2.com/17292327</a>

She does that because she is a total narcissist. The world revolves around her. She is not responsible for anything bad. Everyone else is at fault. She is all-perfect and the center of the universe. You can tell that's true. She is trashing John McCain's campaign because he is not important to her. He's just a utility for her popularity and self-love. She has no conscience--only people with a conscience can recognize their own wrong-doings. Narcissists do not. McCain will begin to recognize that and get angry with her. It has already started. Note he does not embrace her any longer. She's actually looking right passed him at her own reflection in the mirror constantly in front of her. And, in addition, she wears way WAY too much blush.

Did you actually read the report? I have, and they tried to magnify every question as much as possible, but if read objectively, it vindicates her. It gives many reasons why Palin might have fired Monegan. Investigators found complaints about him from many other people, for instance that he didn't understand the budget process and came in 5 days after the new new budget for the year was submitted, saying that he'd decided to start a new program and would be needing an extra $20 million he hadn't mentioned before.

So, the report finds that Palin had plenty of reasons to fire Monegan. Also, based on everything they found including testimony from Monegan, Palin never once pressured Monegan to fire Wooten and in fact never even brought it up except at the very beginning of her administration, to ask questions about the original choice to give Wooten a 5 day's suspension as the only punishment for tasering a child, etc.

What the report argues in finding 1 is that Sarah is guilty for not curtailing her husband's freedom of speech, and that her husband telling people that Wooten was a bad trooper must have been done because the Palins expected some sort of personal gain. The report never even considers the question of whether a trooper that would taser a child might actually be a bad trooper and present a bad image for recruiting.

In fact, Monegan even tried to get the Governor to autograph a picture of Wooten so that it could be made into a poster to publicize an event. HIs response was that, hey, Wooten is a trooper so why not use his picture? This shows that Monegan never took seriously the Palin family's concern over the fitness of this guy to carry a gun and pull people over late at night on deserted roads. If Monegan had an "ominous feeling" from the beginning that Palin was out to get him over Wooten, why did he ask Palin to autograph a photo of Wooten so that he could make it into a poster?

What we have is Todd Palin expressing the same opinion that any decent person would have - that a 5 day suspension for tasering a child is merely a slap on the wrist and the guy might be dangerous. And Monegan, who Palin had plenty of reasons to fire (according to the report), is just looking for an excuse to deny any responsibility and make himself look like a victim. Sour grapes!
