In forests across the state on Nov. 5, Minnesotans will perch in tree strands in anticipation of the state’s deer hunting opener, but in St. Cloud, supporters of Ron Paul will be packed into the St. Cloud Civic Center to celebrate the launch of Paul’s Minnesota presidential campaign.
The event is planned for the morning of Nov. 5, and will include a visit from Paul, according to his campaign.
“We are excited to welcome Ron Paul on the occasion of his first visit to Minnesota this campaign cycle,” Marianne Stebbins, Paul’s Minnesota chairperson, said in a release. “Dr. Paul’s message of Constitutionally-limited government, sound money and a traditional Republican noninterventionist foreign policy is already resonating here.”
The campaign reports that former Republican gubernatorial candidate Tom Emmer will host the event along with Bob Davis, who co-hosts a show with Emmer on AM 1130. The campaign plans to open an office in Minnetonka.
Paul has broken into double digits in recent polls.
