Legendary Mexican-American rock guitarist Carlos Santana, in Georgia Sunday to receive a civil rights award from Major League Baseball, used the opportunity to blast Georgia and Arizona for their strict immigration laws.

He said that if the people of the United States wants to enforce strict immigration laws, they should pack their bags and get out, leaving the country to Native Americans.

From ESPN:

“This law is not correct. It’s a cruel law, actually,” Santana said in an impromptu news conference after the ceremony. “This is about fear. Stop shucking and jiving. People are afraid we’re going to steal your job. No we aren’t. You’re not going to change sheets and clean toilets.”

Added Santana: “This is the United States. This is the land of the free. If people want the immigration laws to keep passing, then everybody should get out and leave the American Indians here.”

First, I’m impressed that you use the “we” to identify yourself with the illegal foreign workers. And you use the “you” to address the Black, Hispanic and White Americans who are unemployed and are complaining about an estimated 425,000 ILLEGAL foreign workers and dependents in Georgia competing in the labor market.

Like most pro-illegal-immigration activists, you don’t have the slightest idea about the reality of American workers.

You don’t know that the majority of hotel housekeeping employees are Americans. And you don’t know that the majority of custodial workers are Americans.

You are like most bigots who speak, not from knowledge or facts, but from the emotional hatred stuck in their guts.

Let’s take a look at the Americans you are calling racist for wanting laws to keep employers from keeping Americans unemployed by hiring illegal foreign workers.

Of young American adults aged 18-29 with only a high school degree:

40% of all these young adults don’t have a job.
43% of the Hispanic-American young adults don’t have a job.
50% of Black Americans of this group don’t have a job.
But you say these Americans don’t deserve any sympathy because, according to you, they are just “shucking and jiving” when they complain that they should have jobs instead of the illegal foreign workers.

Stick to playing music….that seems to be the only thing you know something about…….Shame on you!    GO  E-Verify!
