Calculated Risk offers some nostalgic memories as the Dow Jones Industrials dipped below 10,000 today, for the first time in five years.
March 29, 1999.
That’s when the Dow first broke 10,000.
How innocent it all seemed, back then. Who would have guessed that less than a decade later we’d be on the verge of a global financial crisis?
And, more important, who knows what tomorrow is going to bring?
Based on today, be ready for more stomach-churning Dow watching.
