FEC Examines McCain’s Excessive Donors
Monday, October 06, 2008 at 4:45 pm
With a Republican National Committee lawyer calling on the Federal Elections Commission to investigate the Obama campaign for accepting contributions in excess of federal limits, the FEC is looking into dozens of excessive donations to the McCain campaign as well, reports The Washington Post.
Following a Newsweek report that the commission flagged some donors to Sen. Barack Obama for exceeding contribution limits with numerous small donations using fake names, Sean Cairncross, RNC chief counsel, yesterday accused the Obama campaign of “looking the other way” on excessive contributions. Newsweek reported the Obama campaign has since returned the donations in question. From the Post:
The FEC sent a letter to Sen. John McCain’s campaign treasurer Sept. 30 demanding the candidate turn over more information about “contributions that appear to exceed the limits.”
The letter is accompanied by a nine-page list showing scores of overages from [Sen. John] McCain’s August campaign finance report, including nearly $13,000 from Texas rancher Ray R. Barrett Jr.; $9,200 from an Iraqi security consultant, H. Carter Andress; and $5,000 from Joseph F. Davolio, an executive at a major national liquor, beer, and wine distributor.
“Please inform the Commission of your corrective action immediately in writing and provide photocopies of any refund checks and/or letters reattributing or redesignating the contributions in question,” the letter from the FEC’s senior campaign finance analyst, Leah S. Palmer, says. “The acceptance of excessive contributions is a serious problem.”
It appears that the Newsweek article comes at a very convenient time for the McCain campaign — it lent a little political cover to lessen the blow from a potentially embarrassing revelation.
However, there seems to be a pattern developing here:
Remember McCain’s attacks on Obama for being beholden to Fannie Mae — while several of McCain’s closest advisers and staff members lobbied on behalf of Freddie Mac and the mortgage industry?
Perhaps it is true that the surest sign that the McCain campaign is guilty of something is if it accuses the Obama camp of the same deed.

At least McCain's donors are Americans. There is a HUGE difference. With over $200 million in question regarding suspicious donations to Obama's campagn that may be coming from foreign sources (not Americans abroad), it is about time the Obama campaign is put under scrutiny for donations. This election is to be decided by Americans – not foreign money – that puts Obama indebted to people who should not have a role in governing America.

NUCLEAR SOULJAH JIHAD — OBAMA CAMPAIGN CRISIS
The Republicans' disengagement (media bias), if not disillusionment, with the economic campaign issues is borne out by the fact that many more Republicans are able to explain, extinguish, and excoriate the name Barrack Obama with the term (JIHAD), than can name Bush/Dick Cheney and Exxon-Gramps McCain — as the Big Oil — BIG HALLIBURTAN phoenix jinx-ed politicians expanding GOP IRAQ WAR ideology, and Republican White House Party Elders' GI Bill of Rights for the 21st century IRAQI WAR ECONOMY. Even among Tupac Shakur, Bob Marley, Muhammad Ali, Ben Holt, Cotton-Club to Lenox Club- a.k.a. “The Breakfast Club,” Staples Singers In Ghana 1971: “When Will We Get Paid,” Paul Robeson, DMX or Jay-Z . . . excerpts from the infamous Malcolm X speech “The Ballot or the Bullet” inexperienced Obama and conservative Republicans: Clinton is much more visible than GOP presumptive petrodollar candidate – John (Flip-Flop) McCain – towards affecting positively the important economic issues facing America's middle-class economy. Next, Speaking at an awards banquet for the Society of Professional Journalists on April 4, “Phoenix New Times” and Village Voice Media Inc. Executive Editor Michael Lacey used the “N-word” to refer to a former colleague who voted for the godless, money-laundering, call-girl-reach-around Joe Lie berman lovin' xenophobe XYBORG John McCain, who collaborated with the Viet Cong, hides a Rx- cyanide pill in his check, believes that old maxim attributed to P.T. Barnum: a sucker is born every minute, and secretly fathered a Pickaninny black child with a Unicorn Crêpe Suzette look-alike, who turned out to become — you guessed it — Barack Obama?

It is known as “projection”. When the Republican say that the opposition will do terrible things, if you look carefully you will see that the Republicans have done those sames things already, or will be doing them soon.

Can you PROVE that McCain's donors are American??
Don't forget, GW Bush had to be tutored in World Affairs by Prince Bandar of Saudi Arabia… and the Saudi's have a vested interest in keeping Republican control of the White House!

“Perhaps it is true that the surest sign that the McCain campaign is guilty of something is if it accuses the Obama camp of the same deed.”
This is business as usual for the Repukes:
- Remember mccains accusations that Obama was somehow linked to the Palestinian Khalidi by giving him 80,000 dollars? Not 2 days later it appeared that mccain had given Khalidi 480,000 dollars or SIX times as much.
- Why did McCain declare Rev. Wright off limits? Because he also had , not one but TWO priest problems, Hagee Rev. Frank Pavone, Dobson
- McCain belongs to the party that practiced (not just talked about) welfare for bankers, and then had the gal to accuse Obama of 'Socialism'??
- Of course, his greatest crime on this front was the whole Bill Ayers thing. He accused (or let Sarah Pallin'-Around do it) Obama of associating with terrorists. All the while, McCain was endorsed, and got money from, Annenberg, who is Ayers sponsor too. But that's not all. McCain has ties to Gordon Liddy and replacement CIA-operatives, who committed terrorist acts in the Iran-Contra scandal.
So, while Obamas ties to Ayers-the-professor where flimsy at best, and to Ayers-the-terrrorist non-existent, the ties McCain had to actual terrorists, anti-semitic priests, criminal real estate developers and shady land dealers were all too real.
Talk about being guilty of something it accuses the Obama camp of ….
In one word: Hypocrisy.

What's more, can he PROVE that Obama's donors aren't American?? That is, unless he doesn't consider Jay-Z, tupac as Americans, of course ….
And what's really funny about this is, is this line in Micheal Moore's movie Farenheit 9-11:
“Okay, so let's say one group of people, like the American people, pay you $400,000 a year to be President of the United States. But then another group of people invest in you, your friends, and their related businesses $1.4 billion dollars over a number of years. Who you gonna like?”
yup … yup … the Saudis, you betcha!
